6570 Piller og 43 Clips i maven
Film installation, performance and debate in one!
'6570 pills og 43 clips i maven' is an ongoing project about diagnoses, hospitalizations and the physical and mental scars of the body. The performance gives an insight into an artistic process about the topic of care in the hospital system.
'6570 pills og 43 clips i maven' is an art and research project between Ida Marie Lebech, who is a visual artist, and Marie Hallager Andersen, who is a performance and film artist. We have teamed up for this project, where we integrate film projections, live art and performance. We both work with a focus on the sensual and aesthetic, between the body and materials and the digital.
How can we treat topics around physical and mental health through art? This is what we will investigate with this project.
Four Generations of Women
Four Generations of Women is an ongoing project on motherhood and care. I filmed my daughters, grandmother and mother since 2018 in my grandmother's home and later on in her care home. I observe and film as my daughters grow up and my grandmother is becoming increasingly more demented.
I create small videos from my visits and focus on different aspects of their relationship or on film techniques. The purpose of this is to show filmmaking in process. I have a dedicated website to the project here https://inbecoming.weebly.com/ |

Mathilde Dance/Music Collective
Mathilde are a collective of five improvisers who integrate movement and sound. We perform improvised contemporary dance and music and each bring our unique skills, presence and personalities, whilst sharing a common interest in creating a spontaneously composed performance which is intricate, human and communicative. The collective takes playful and entertaining improvised performance and participation to music events, theatres and festival.
Mathilde are Seth Bennett (double bass and trombone), Oliver Dover (saxophone, bass clarinet, trumpophone), Rachel Dean, Marie Andersen and Daliah Toure (dance artists). Initially we were five enthusiastic improvisers researching in the studio but in 2010 we had our first improvised performance at 7Arts in Leeds. We have since been performing regularly in Leeds, Bradford, Manchester, Sheffield and York. We teach our methods in both classes and workshops. See teaching for details |
